The Sykes Double Cal 500ml aids in Milk Fever (hypocalcaemia) and aids in preventing its inception during the first weeks of lactation.

Administration instructions:

Treatment should be considered urgent at the first indication of Milk Fever.

To reduce the risk of the cow choking, it is recommended that the cow be positioned as upright as possible. If available, a hay bale or a fence post might be utilised to support the cow. Warm the fluid to body temperature before injecting it if possible.

Snap the plug's tip off, allowing the fluid to flow freely, then insert the sterile needle supplied. Disinfect the injection site before inserting the needle through the skin of the neck or over the ribs. Squeeze the bag gently to inject the contents.

Following injection, the region should be vigorously rubbed to enable for faster absorption of the medication. If the cow does not respond to Double Cal within 3-4 hours repeat injection and seek veterinary advice.

*Note - Minbal 4 in 1 should be used when the animal does not respond to Rudduck Double-Cal as the animal may be lacking in other minerals.*
